- Antigen
- Partial human NLRP7 recombinant protein (1-93 a.a.) expressed in E. coli.
- Description
- NLRP7 is a member of the nucleotide-binding domain and leucine-rich repeat containing gene family (NLR), which are involved in the regulation of innate immune response and inflammation. During pathogen infection, NLR proteins, such as NLRP1 and NLRP3, activate caspase-1, which subsequently results in the maturation and secretion of the inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-18. It has been reported that NLRP7 participates in the inflammasome assembly and can act as a feedback regulator for caspase-1 dependent production of the inflammatory cytokines. Genetic defects in NLRP7 associates with an aberrant human pregnancy called the hydatidiform mole, which suggests that NLRP7 plays a role in reproductive loss.

- Experimental details
- Total cell lysate from Jurkat cells (lane 1), THP-1 cells (lane 2), and NIH-3T3 cells (lane 3) were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with purified monoclonal anti-NLRP7 (clone 13B7B21) antibody. Proteins were visualized using an HRP conjugated anti-mouse-IgG secondary and chemiluminescence detection.
