Talacotuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CD123 (interleukin-3 receptor alpha, IL-3R¦Á), a surface protein overexpressed on leukemic stem cells and blasts in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and other hematologic malignancies. It binds to CD123 to block IL-3 signaling and may also engage immune effector functions. It was investigated for the treatment of relapsed/refractory AML and myelodysplastic syndromes.
