- 0.01-0.05 µg/mL of this lot detected acetylated histone H3 in acid extracted proteins from HeLa cells. Sodium butyrate, an inhibitor of histone deacetylases, was used to enhance detection of acetylated histone H3. A previous lot detected acetylated histone H3 in Tetrahymena macronuclei. Higher concentrations of this lot also detected unacetylated histone H3.

- Sonicated chromatin prepared from untreated HeLa cells (1 X 106 cell equivalents) was subjected to chromatin immunoprecipitation using 5 µg of either a normal rabbit IgG or Anti-Acetyl Histone H3 and the Magna ChIP A Kit (Cat. # 17-610). Successful immunoprecipitation of acetyl histone H3 associated DNA fragments was verified by qPCR using control ChIP Primers, flanking the human GAPDH promoter.
