Description

Timolumab is a recombinant fully human IgG4 kappa monoclonal antibody targeting vascular adhesion protein-1 (VAP-1), a cell surface enzyme (amine oxidase) expressed on endothelial cells and involved in leukocyte trafficking and inflammation. It binds to VAP-1 to inhibit its enzymatic activity and adhesion function, thereby reducing immune cell infiltration into tissues. It is being developed for the treatment of inflammatory and fibrotic diseases, such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and diabetic kidney disease.
