Marketed under the brand name Adakveo?, it represents a novel therapeutic approach that targets a key pathway involved in the multicellular adhesion events that initiate vaso-occlusion. It is indicated for patients aged 16 years and older and is administered via intravenous infusion, typically on a monthly basis after an initial loading phase.
