1 FIGURE FABP4 expression is induced in cardiomyocytes exposed to hypoxia. (A, B) H9c2 cardiomyocytes were subjected to hypoxia as indicated for increasing periods of time. Normoxia (0 h) is the control treatment. The mRNA level (A) and protein expression (B) of FABP4 in harvested H9c2 cardiomyocytes were assessed by the quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis and Western blot analysis, respectively. beta-actin is the internal control for FABP4 expression. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) (n = 3). **, P < 0.01. (C) H9c2 cardiomyocytes were cultured under normoxia condition (0 h) or subjected to hypoxia for 24 h.
