Rabbit polyclonal to WRN.WRN (Werner syndrome ATP-dependent helicase) is a magnesium and ATP-dependent DNAhelicase.WRN also has the 3 to 5 exonuclease activity towards double-stranded DNA with 5-overhang, but not single-stranded DNA or blunt-ended double stranded DNA. WRN plays animportant role in the dissociation of joint DNA molecules and the formation of DNA replication focalcenters. Defects in WRN causes Werner syndrome.
