Crovalimab is a novel, engineered anti-complement C5 monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). Marketed under the brand name PiaSky?, it is distinguished by its unique pH-dependent, recycling mechanism. This design allows for sustained complement inhibition with a significantly longer half-life, enabling convenient subcutaneous administration every four weeks, unlike the standard intravenous regimens of other C5 inhibitors.
