- Axin1 has 44% homology with Axin2 (Conductin) and its function is similar, but they have different expression patterns. Axin1 is widely expressed and detected at a very low level, whereas Axin2 is differentially expressed in various cells and tissue (stomach cancer or colorectal cancer). Also, it is reported that Axin2 was highly over-expressed in AGS and SW480 cell lines. Immunoprecipitation (IP) and western blot experiments were performed to evaluate Axin1 antibody's specificity. IP sample and cell lysates (35ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-mouse Axin1 (1:500). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
