Experimental details

Detection of Human eIF2 alpha by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line, MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line, CTLL-2 mouse cytotoxic T cell line, and NRK rat normal kidney cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human eIF2 alpha Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3997) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). A specific band was detected for eIF2 alpha at approximately 38 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Experimental details

Detection of Human eIF2 alpha by Simple Western^TM. Simple Western lane view shows lysates of MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line, loaded at 0.2 mg/mL. A specific band was detected for eIF2 alpha at approximately 42 kDa (as indicated) using 10 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human eIF2 alpha Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3997) followed by 1:50 dilution of HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using the 12-230 kDa separation system. Non-specific interaction with the 230 kDa Simple Western standard may be seen with this antibody.
