Description

In addition to ÉÇ-amyloid precursor protein (ÉÇAPP) , three other gene products have been implicated in Familial Alzheimer's Disease (FAD) : presenilin 1 (PS-1) , presenilin 2 (PS-2) , and apolipoprotein E (apoE4) . Mutations in the genes encoding ÉÇAPP, PS-1, and PS-2 are believed to contribute to presenile FAD.
