- Protein A or G purified from hybridoma culture supernatant. Detects cotton rat IL-1 alpha/IL-1F1 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs, approximately 50% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat (rr) IL-1 alpha is observed and 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) IL-1 alpha is observed. In Western blots, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-1 alpha , rmIL-1 alpha , recombinant porcine IL-1 alpha , rrIL-1 beta , and rrIL-18 is observed.

- Cell Proliferation Induced by IL-1 alpha/IL-1F1 and Neutral-ization by Cotton Rat IL-1 alpha/ IL-1F1 Antibody. Recombinant Cotton Rat IL-1 alpha/IL-1F1 (Catalog # 552-R1) stimulates proliferation in the the D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). Proliferation elicited by Recombinant Cotton Rat IL-1 alpha/IL-1F1 (50 pg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Cotton Rat IL-1 alpha/IL-1F1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB552). The ND50 is typically 1-5 µg/mL in the presence of concanavalin A (1.25 µg/mL).
