Description

The human IL-4R¦Á subunit is a 140kDa type 1 membrane protein that binds human IL-4 with a high affinity. The IL-4/ IL-4R¦Á complex can dimerize with either the common gamma chain (?c, CD132) or the IL-13Ralpha1 (IL-13R¦Á1) subunit, via domains on IL-4, to create two different signalling complexes, commonly referred to as Type I and Type II receptors, respectively.
