- Description
- Description: This AB12-3G4 monoclonal antibody reacts with and inhibits the bioactivity of human IL-2. IL-2 is a 15 kDa cytokine expressed by B cells, T cells, and dendritic cells. IL-2 signals via a heterotrimeric receptor (CD25) and results in the activation of Jak/STAT pathways. IL-2 plays a critical role in the proliferation, activation, and differentiation of T cells. The development of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells is especially dependent on the presence of IL-2, making it an important immunoregulatory cytokine. Applications Reported: This AB12-3G4 monoclonal antibody inhibits the bioactivity of human IL-2. Applications Tested: The ND50 of AB12-3G4, as determined by the neutralization of Human IL-2-induced proliferation of the CTLL-2 cell line, is less than or equal to 60 ng/mL in the presence of 10 ng/mL Human IL-2 Recombinant Protein. The neutralization dose of this antibody will vary depending on cell type, assay method, and cytokine concentration. Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment. Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.001 ng/µg antibody, as determined by LAL assay. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.
