Description

Eltrekibart is an investigational monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment of moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and other neutrophilic inflammatory diseases. It functions as a unique broad-spectrum chemokine antagonist. Its primary mechanism of action is to specifically and potently neutralize all seven known ligands (CXCL1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8/IL-8) that signal through the CXCR1 and CXCR2 chemokine receptors. By blocking this entire family of chemoattractants, eltrekibart aims to comprehensively inhibit the recruitment and activation of neutrophils at sites of inflammation, a key driver of the painful abscesses, nodules, and tunnels characteristic of HS.
